    Enter from I-40 exit 311. Drive the full 28-mile loop south. Exit at south end to US-180.

    First Painted Desert overlook. Morning light is ideal.

    Historic 1930s inn, small museum, classic overlook.

    Best wide-angle Painted Desert view in the park.

    Crystal Forest / Giant Logs Trail

    Short paved loops near south end. Dog-friendly on pavement.
